When NASA put out a call in the 1960s asking for high quality replica watches for use in spaceflight, three brands answered: Omega, Wittnauer, and Rolex. By the time the arduous testing was completed on March 1, 1965, only Omega’s Speedmaster had made it through all the trials, and the rest is history. To celebrate that history, on the 60th anniversary of the tests, UK 1:1 Omega fake watches and Swatch are launching a new, non-limited edition Moonswatch in a monochrome colorway with nods to the original reference that passed the tests.
While the ref. 105.003 Speedy that underwent the tests had a black dial; this new perfect UK fake Omega Moonswatch watches flips that on the inverse and is a white dialed watch in a grey Bioceramic case measuring 42mm by 13.25mm on a grey velcro strap. But there are nods to the vintage reference, with the original OMEGA logo, typeface, and hands used (with Swatch, of course, added), plus an applied logo.
Pull out your UV torch and turn on the lights, and you’ll see that the chronograph counters have been updated. No,w they read 19 (in place of 60) and 65 (in place of 10), with both using blue-emission Super-LumiNova. The bottom running seconds subdial also reads 60 as usual, but that’s lit up, too. This is a nod to the year of the trials – 1965 – and the 60th anniversary.
But it’s not just confusing printing or a gimmick that makes no sense practically. The movement inside has been updated to count 19 hours and 65 minutes in total. That means the hour will only be counted every 65 minutes – weird. On top of that, the counters make a “lap of honor” (the brand’s term) at the end of 64 minutes, where the top two hands make a full rotation before advancing.
This non-limited release will be available in Swatch stores starting March 1, 2025, for the same price as other (non-moonphase) Moonswatches: $270.
What We Think
I spotted the teaser for this best copy watches UK on Instagram earlier today and thought we had more time until the announcement, but instead, we just have more time until we’re able to head to the stores and check them out ourselves. It’s an interesting release, though curious to me that they chose a white dial to honor a watch that had a black dial.
Maybe it’s because the MoonSwatch series has gone through so many iterations already that we’re approaching critical mass on the number of ideas and riffs you can take on super clone watches wholesale online that has a claim-to-fame of largely being very much the same and equally reliable for decades. Aside from the vintage font and other touches, the new launch reminds me a lot of the recent white lacquer-dialed Swiss made Omega Speedmaster replica watches shop I reviewed last year. The stark white dial and black hands pop, and it’s a nice option if you want something with a little “Alaska project” without the red case and hands.
