Richard Mille is moving into the world of women’s golf with the Italian champion Diana Luna and by becoming the Major Partner in the Lacoste Ladies Open tournament.

Richard Mille wished to support a technical feminine sport. He was impressed by the personality of Diana Luna, the RM family’s first women’s sporting partner, and by her promising career.

Number 1 in her country, proette since 2002 to the Ladies European Tour which she marked with 5 victories, the transalpine golfer has gone from strength to strength since her career took off. Her story begins in 2000, when she won four Italian championships and one European championship as part of a junior team. In 2004, she won her first title at the Tenerife Ladies Open, before going on to win two major tournaments in 2009 – the AIB Ladies Irish Open and the SAS Ladies Masters in Norway.

That same year, she scored again, becoming the first Italian in the history of golf to qualify for the Solheim Cup European team. Victory came once more in 2011 at the Ladies German Open. During the competition, Diana Luna achieved a first in the history of women’s golf, playing 72 holes over four days with no bogeys. Again in 2011, she won the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open, before coming second the following year at the French Open (Lacoste Ladies Open). In her young career, 31 top 10 finishes, 5 victories on the European circuit, 5 victories in the PGA of Italy.

And on the green, an RM 007 Titanium graces the wrist of Diana Luna notably in the Lacoste Ladies Open held 26th to 29th of September. The Richard Mille brand will be for the first time the Major Partner of the French Ladies Open.

Golf is a sport of precision, technique, endurance and concentration. It is thus quite naturally that Richard Mille drew again the parallel with the calibers of extreme performance and wished to join the French Open that is held every year at the Golf of Chantaco in Saint Jean de Luz (France). Richard Mille will also be lending his name to the pre-tournament Pro-Am on the 25th of September. For the 3 days of the event, the 78 best European female players will be competing, with the winner taking home a ladies’ RM 007 Titanium UK replica watch, a one-off piece crafted with a white crown and white rubber strap, engraved with the ‘Lacoste Ladies Open 2013’ name tournament on the middle case.

Richard Mille has been eagerly ushered into the world of women’s sport, accompanied by one of Europe’s top female golfers. As with other sporting partnerships, this alliance will allow the Omega Replica watch company to test and develop a product that has been designed with adaptability under extreme conditions in mind. Diana Luna will work with Richard Mille engineers to develop a watch caliber with ergonomics, elegance and performance as key elements.

Urwerk From the UR 103 to the EMC : horological dialogues

— Born from the ongoing exchanges between a omega replica watchmaker and a designer, Urwerk watches take things up a notch by actually establishing a dialogue with their owners.

Heading: Tech & Tests

Founded in 1997 by watchmaker Felix Baumgartner and designer Martin Frei, Urwerk creates replica Omega watches that are both technically and aesthetically original, thus embodying a unique symbiosis of which it is impossible to trace the exact origin. Given their intensely interactive collaborative endeavours, one simply cannot tell whether it is the watchmaker or the designer that guides the other on any given project.

While the story began with the wandering hours following each other across a 60-minute sector, as on the UR 101 and UR 102 models, the brand’s personality truly asserted itself through its range of satellite watches. In 2003, the UR 103 debuted a display featuring four circular satellites, each bearing three hours numerals. They rotate on the four arms of a revolving satellite and follow each other across the 60-minute scale that they point to via an index.

A similar principle governs the 200 watch family – UR 201 (2007), UR 202 (2008) and UR 203 (2013) – but in this case with three pyramid-type satellites bearing four hour numerals on their different sides, as well as telescopic hands that stretch and shrink to indicate the minutes. In 2011, Urwerk introduced the UR 110, a version that is simple in appearance only. The minutes hands are fixed arrows moving along an axis positioned on the right-hand side of the replica Omega watch and no longer at the base, in order to facilitate reading. The system ensuring such intuitive user-friendliness is radically different from the previous ones and took almost two years to develop.

A promising decade

2011 also saw the introduction of the spectacular UR 1001 Zeit Device, a pocket-watch equipped with a calendar capable of recording the passing of time for up to 1,000 years! While the hours are displayed in a normal way for Urwerk, namely by means of three cube-shaped satellites, the minutes are disconnected from this system and instead adopt a complex retrograde display mode: a single hand accompanies all the satellites and returns to zero each time it has completed its travel. As for the calendar, it displays the months on a second satellite-type module equipped with fixed arrows to indicate the date, while the back of the watch features a circular 100-year running-time indicator that moves forward in five-year increments and a 1,000-year vertical running-time indicator that pursues its stately progress from century to century.

With the UR 210 unveiled in 2013, the retrograde minutes move from pocket to wrist by adopting an amazing 3D sculpted hand. Imposing and yet light because it is made of aluminium, this hand successively frames the three hours satellites and accompanies them along the minutes arc before returning to its starting point in less than 1/10th of a second.

In parallel, in 2010, Urwerk began exploring new types of display. The UR CC1 is distinguished by a linear reading of the jumping hours and retrograde minutes that is made possible by two rotating cylinders: a minutes cylinder of which the helix advances as a line running from 0 to 60 and thus to the end of the hour; while the hours cylinder marked by 12 hourly increasing lines jumps forward the new hour. The seconds are very much in the spotlight thanks to a double display: a linear indication by means of a floating flat spiral shape; and a digital display by a disc rotating at two-second intervals (indicating the even numbers).

Watches under control

Moreover, Urwerk has developed various and often unprecedented control systems enabling watch owners to keep track or even interfere with the running of their timepiece. As early as 2003, the UR 103 incorporated a “Control Board” including a power-reserve indicator, 15-minute and 60-seconds dials for precise time setting, and a dedicated adjustment screw serving to adjust the rate of the watch to the wearer’s lifestyle (to gain or lose 30 seconds daily). Subsequent new developments in this field have included the Oil Change service indicator, the various first accumulated running time indicator or odometer; and, with the advent of automatic turbine-based winding, a speed up/slow down system serving to adjust the running of the watch according to the intensity of one’s current activity (with a choice between winding at full-throttle “Free”, at a 35% reduced rate “Sport”, or actually brought to a halt “Spot”.

Recently, the UR 210 has introduced a world-first ‘partly human’ function. A dial indicator at 11 o’clock measures the winding efficiency by calculating the ratio between the movement winding and effective energy expenditure. If the hand is in the central zone, the winding is satisfactory, while being in the red means it is too intense and in the green that it is insufficient. The regulating system previously developed by Urwerk has thus now been enriched with particularly useful visual points of reference. The relevant adjustment to Full, Reduced and Stop modes may be performed on the back of the Replica Watches.

And now comes the turn of the much-heralded EMC, a movement of which the owner will be able to accurately calculate the timing rate and then ensure it is finely attuned to his lifestyle and habits. Plainly speaking, the owner himself will thus be in a position to evaluate and adjust the rating precision at any given time. Never before had such an intimate ‘dialogue’ been envisaged between a man and his fake Omega watch.

Swiss watchmaking in July 2013:very high value and increase in the number of watches

July reached new highs in terms of watch exports, with the result exceeding the two billion franc mark. This level has never been reached so early in the year before, and July thus becomes fourth best month on record. Growth was more measured than in previous years but ensured that the sector remained at a very high level. The total value of exports rose by 2.2%, taking the cumulative result since January to +1.1%.

Despite the sharp slowdown in gold Omega replica watches in recent months, the total value of exports increased thanks to steel and to strong upturns in the categories of other metals and other materials. In terms of the number of timepieces exported, steel set the pace with an increase of 3.8%. The category of other materials rose more steeply, while that of other metals fell below the level of July 2012.

The main price segments were stable or recorded minor increases, except for the 200-500 francs range (export price) which rose by 20.6% in value terms and 25.4% by volume. Below 200 francs, volumes were comparable to 2012 (-0.8%). The 500-3,000 francs category climbed several points. Above 3,000 francs, the result was also stable (-0.6% by value).

The slowdown in Hong Kong was less marked in July and the market recorded a level identical to 2012. The United States also matched its previous result. Recent trends were confirmed for the main European markets. Italy registered a marked upturn, as did Germany. France however recorded a significant decline. After recovering in June, China reiterated its downward trend, albeit on a shallower trajectory than at the beginning of the year.

As part of Watches & Wonders, the first event of its kind to be held in Hong Kong from September 25th to 28th 2013, the Geneva-based watch Fine Watchmaking manufacturer Vacheron Constantin offers a tuneful and luminous experimental route presenting some of the finest striking Omega Replica watches from its legacy.

From September 25th to 28th 2013, the Manufacture is turning the spotlight in Asia on an array of striking fake Omega watches. This encounter, based on the principle of sharing, marks Vacheron Constantin’s determination to present a particular facet of its uninterrupted activity since 1755.

At a very early stage, the Geneva-based manufacturer made a name for itself with exceptional striking watches. The founder’s grandson Jacques Barthélémi Vacheron, was himself a specialist of repeater watches before taking the reins of the Maison in the early 19th century.

The firm’s reputation in the making of striking Replica Watches UK thus naturally grew and the most famous collectors commissioned their own models – such as Sir Bhupindra Singh, the Maharajah of Patiala, who acquired a pocket chronograph clockwatch with alarm, date and moon phases dated 1909; or the famous American automobile manufacturer James Ward Packard, who ordered in 1918 a quarter and half-quarter repeating pocket chronograph clockwatch with Grande and Petite Sonnerie.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to discover an 1812 red gold quarter-repeater pocket watch with a guilloché dial testifying to this longstanding tradition, along with an 1827 pocket Omega Replica UK watch with quarter repeater, jumping hours and small seconds. Each of the exhibition showcases will provide an opportunity to take a closer look at the mysteries of a rare horological complication much sought-after by well-known collectors.

The advent of the wristwatch in the 20th century led watchmakers to seek and find ingenious ways of miniaturising striking mechanisms in order to meet the demands of smaller and slimmer cases. This quest gave rise to spectacular feats of ultimate finesse, such as this 1955 minute repeater model equipped with a calibre measuring less than 3.28 mm thick. Other ultra-thin timepieces housing a number of complications were to follow, each expressing pure and exquisite beauty – as is admirably embodied in this exhibition by a minute repeater featuring a movement entirely openworked and decorated by hand.

For the first time in Hong Kong, Vacheron Constantin evokes an aspect of Fine UK fake Omega Watchmaking that is as fascinating today as it has always been. Once again, the precious timepieces from the Geneva-based Maison are an open invitation to explore the beating heart of human genius.
